  • I believe this is a complex event, caused by a merger between a partial halo CME on October 21 and the shock wave of a CME at the North Eastern Limb on the 22nd. I believe the halo CME was propagating towards the Earth, then the shock wave caught the CME front and accelerated it faster.(Hess)
  • Two full halo CMEs are involved in this event, but it would be good to know exactly which event produced the ICME at 1 AU (J. Zhang)
