Use this form to upload a file to the wiki. This form was specifically designed for video files, but if you have other files that cannot be loaded directly to the wiki they can be uploaded here as well.

Enter your wiki user name in the first field, as this is how the uploaded files are organized. All files you upload will be available at solar.gmu.edu/wiki/your_username/. If you want to link to a particular file in a specific wiki page, include an internal link on that page to solar.gmu.edu/wiki/your_username/filename.

Currently supported file types on this page are jpg, jpeg, png, gif, pdf, mov, avi, mpg, and mpeg. If you have data in another format that you would like to upload, email Phillip Hess at phess4@gmu.edu and we will attempt to add the capability into the page.

If you attempt to upload a file that is in a supported file type but still get an error message, make sure your file is below the maximum upload size of 1 GB. If it is, there should be an error page that tells you the file extension, name and MIME type. Some file extensions have multiple MIME types associated with them, so it is possible that while the file extension is supported, the specific MIME type supplied by your browser has not been included. If you email the MIME type to phess4@gmu.edu we will add it in to the page. If the returned MIME type is blank, you can try to upload the file from a different web browser (this information is supplied entirely by your browser and sometimes different browsers treat files in different ways). If that does not work, you may have to convert the file to another format.
