The period these data cover is from 0 UT 31 March 2001 to 12 UT 1 April 2001. There are two other DMSP spacecraft in operation during this period (F12 and F14) but both of them had instrument problems so we do not include their data. (Anyone who wants to examine those data are free to get them from our on-line database, but use those data with caution.)\ \ These data are taken straight from our website (cindispace.utdallas.edu/DMSP/). There are ascii data files (one per orbit) along with a corresponding lineplots and polar plots of the crosstrack ion flow. The ascii files use names like f13_rl010900142.txt which means this is F13 data, for year 01 (2001), day of\ year 090, and the orbit starts at the northbound equatorial crossing at 0142 UT. These data are presented in a lineplot named f13_rl010900142.jpg. A plot of the crosstrack horizontal flows in the polar regions are presented in file f13_pl010900142.jpg.\ \ A complete description of these data and how to use them can be found on our website at cindispace.utdallas.edu/DMSP/faq.htm and at cindispace.utdallas.edu/DMSP/quality.htm. The format for the ascii data is explained here, cindispace.utdallas.edu/DMSP/format.htm. \ \ Marc Hairston\ February 2005}
